The traditional style of Japanese carving has a long history of simplicity and inspiration. Although this technique (Chokin) is gradually disappearing into history, we hope to do our best to let more people feel its beauty.This is a limited edition of our kitchen knives in collaboration with the carver Asamura Takao, whose over 50 years of carving skills make each piece look so spiritual. Each design has been polished for months, even a year or more.
Kurouchi Finish, the unprocessed (black) part on the top side of the blade has already developed a dark patina, which protects the blade and gives it a traditional Japanese look.
The edge is the carbon steel which is examined good carbon steel, forged and clad stainless. Since the side is stainless steel, it is hard to rust and it is sanitary.
