Origin: Japan

This sharpening stone is ideal for anyone who wants to carefully maintain their knives, whether at home or in a professional kitchen.
With a #2000 grit, this medium-fine to fine whetstone smooths the blade surface and removes minor scratches, resulting in a beautifully polished edge and a sharp cutting performance.
After using a coarse stone (#400–#1000) for edge shaping or repair, finishing with this stone helps improve both the durability and longevity of the knife's sharpness.

Please note that this stone requires soaking before use.
Be sure to soak it in water for at least 10 to 15 minutes prior to sharpening.

Japanese whetstones—both natural and synthetic—are known for their fast cutting performance.
Because the abrasive particles are loosely bonded, fresh grit is constantly exposed during use, allowing for efficient sharpening.
Always use water as a lubricant when sharpening. Never use oil or any other substances.
